Passing class XII in any stream: Aspiring students can directly take admission into a B.Des course if they have graduated high school from a recognized educational board, through direct admission to colleges, or through various entrance and counselling afterwards.
Diploma in design: students can pursue B.Des. if they have completed their diploma course in design recognized by AICTE.
Skills Required for B.Des Course
This degree programme is ideal for students who only have a specific set of skills. Students must be creative, confident, and have a talent for writing in order to excel in B.Des. The following are some of the talents needed for a B.Des degree:
Attention to detail: To succeed in this design sector, students must have a unique set of skills. As a result, applicants with a B.Des degree should pay close attention to every detail of various designs and patterns and grasp what they are all about.
Communication skills: While communication is important in every aspect of a B.Des student's professional life, they must be able to speak effectively and concisely. It is crucial for a B.Des candidate to know proper verbal communication when conducting meetings, workshops, and seminars.
Creativity: Without a creative flare in a field of specialisation, candidates enrolling in the B.Des degree programme will simply not excel in the sector. For someone working in a creative field like design, a lack of inventiveness is a major no.
Drawing Skills: Designers must be able to draw in order to bring their ideas to life. A fashion designer transforms a piece of fabric into numerous designs of clothing. Designers can't communicate their originality to clients if they can't draw.
