Batch of 2021 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
College is very particular about attendance. You cannot use unfair means during examinations. The hostel is very expensive. Food quality is nice but very expensive, again. The faculty is nice too but some cannot teach well. If you go to them personally then it's fine. Exam stress level is also not very bad. You have three sets of examinations per semester. The ambiance is as perfect as perfect can be. Recreational activities are many. You will love it if you visit it!

I'm glad I joined AUK

College infrastructure- You cannot question that. In fact, I feel there are many who joined AUK for its lavish infrastructure and satisfying ambiance. The entire place is centrally air-conditioned- right from the loos to the corridors. You're blissfully saved during summers. The library is awesome too! You have high-speed internet connection in the computers, LAN connections if you want to use your laptops. Comfort is immense. Perfect for completing your assignments (you get tonnes of them but that shouldn't be a problem because it just keeps you busy) and doing lots of research. College placements- I'm not sure of. For CSE (the course that I've taken up) the first batch hasn't graduated yet. But I've heard the MBAs get nice placements. Highest salary package went up to 5 lakhs p.a. as per my knowledge. Industry exposure- It is difficult to find students who are not indulged in projects and internships write from first-year. I have seniors from third-year (the senior-most batch for CSE) who are being paid 10K on a monthly basis. Research papers and patents are common too. Faculty- Applied Mathematics is difficult but my professor makes it really easy! As a novice programmer, I cannot thank my Computer Professor enough for making C Programming Language so comfortable for me. Some professors are weak, in the sense, they face difficulty handling the backbenchers but otherwise things are pretty much fine. College life- Let's just say I have no complaints. Sometimes, for a lazy person like me, attending events becomes an unnecessary evil. I prefer the quietness and comfort of my classroom lectures and workshops over attending rock shows, dandia, fashion shows, DJ nights etc. but that's completely what I like. Hostel- Here I have complaints. I'm a day scholar and I do not live in the hostel. I have friends who do and they, let me tell you, have a lot of issues. Thefts, checking of the rooms in the absence of the residents, confiscation of rice cookers and electronic kettles are some of the grievous problems. The laundry service is also expensive, so you have to wash your own clothes. No washing machine facility provided if you're not opting for the laundry service. People don't have the mess service. So you basically have to buy all of your four meals. On an average, that calls for an expenditure of 240 bucks on a daily basis, which I feel is very expensive. Cleanliness is an absolute availability at AUK. You just cannot complain about the hygiene and neatness! Compared to other colleges, our college is a heaven. Student crowd- In one word great! Of course, there are some who won't be a very pleasant sight to look at or hear out but overall people are great. Those who aren't, are punished... and I'm serious. Amity doesn't tolerate nuisance no matter what. I love it how we're disciplined. People call it a school because of the discipline level but I'm being controlled in that way. Affordability- You get 80% above in your Boards and you can avail your scholarship of 20%. However, you need to maintain a constant rank in your department for getting that continuously. As a day scholar, my fees for the 4-years program is 6 lakhs, with a scholarship. Hostel charges are roughly 90k p.a. That's all! Trust me, you won't regret being here!

The college is very pretty, hygienic and clean. Resourceful library. The hostel is clean and safe a lot strict about the entry and exit but I think that's valid for every hostel. Attendance is also very strict. You just need to maintain a minimum of 75% otherwise you're debarred. Overall college life is fun and disciplined. No nuisance happening heither and teither. Join it for a healthy experience!

Awesome experience

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering
Placements : Amity University is set up new in Kolkata. We are the first batch in Engineering. So, placements are not yet done for Engineering domains. But as per records, it is said to have good placement record in all other branches that are present across the country and globe. Infrastructure : The facilities that are provided: 1. Wi-Fi - It is available everytime. 2 . Laboratories - The physics, chemistry and biology labs are really awesome but the computer lab are good and can be improved in its configuration part. 3. Library - The books that are needed are all present in our library well before time but at times, it has less number of copies. 4. Medical Facilities - Good but not perfect. 5. Sports - Basketball, volleyball, football and lawn tennis ground is present which is really lovely. Other than that we have lift facility which is really praiseworthy with 24*7 air condition. Faculty : I am in 4th semester now. Faculties - They are really very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Whenever I face any difficulty, they are always ready to help me. It is not only for me but also for all the students. They are like guardian angels and act as a shield all the time. The teaching method that is used - Audio-Visual classes. They give assignments on a monthly basis. Student-faculty ratio - More than enough to guide all of us. Yes, we have faculties from Industries. They bring people from Industries for talks so that we can remain updated all the time. The industry exposure is too high to be true in our University. The curriculum till now was really very useful but I felt that Biology for Engineers and History for Engineers was not really needed for us in first year.
