UID Ahmedabad Facilities
Unitedworld Institute of Design Ahmedabad provides a wide range of infrastructural facilities for its students and staff members. UID Ahmedabad facilities include hostel facilities for both boys and girls equipped with AC twin sharing/ AC triple sharing/ AC four sharing/ AC six sharing rooms. UID Ahmedabad is a Wi-Fi enabled campus. UID Ahmedabad facilities also include a fully equipped library that has a vast collection of books, journals, references, periodicals and other resources. Doctors on campus are available for regular medical checkups. Some other UID Ahmedabad campus facilities are a fitness centre, stationary and essential store, ATM, mess, multiple food outlets, medical facilities, salon, sports facilities, 24x7 CCTV Surveillance and transportation facility.

UID has all necessary infra conducive to design education. It has state-of-the-art labs, well equipped classrooms, libraries, sport centres and hostels and all are very well maintained. Good and hygienic food.

Dear Aspirant,
There are various institutes which provide interior design program without any pre requisite of educational qualification. For PG Diploma in Interior design one needs to pass graduation from any stream with minimum 55% from recognized university.
So being a civil engineer you can definitely pursue interior designing course

Till when can we apply for the UID admission examination
United World Institute of Design conducts their entrance exam on 26th of January 2020 for admissions across various design programmes offered at the institute. Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) and Master of Design (M.Des.), both the degrees will be offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in UID entrance exam 2019.
Following programmes are offered at United World Institute of Design:
- Visual Communication (Graphics)
- Animation & Motion Graphics
- Fashion Design
- Lifestyle & Accessory Design
- Product Design
- Automobile & Transportation Design
- Interior Design
The admission process of UID is a two tier process. In tier 1, candidates need to appear for UID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) and tier 2 comprises of a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation. The duration of the UID DAT is 2 hours 30 minutes.
The eligibility criteria for UID Aptitude Test 2020 is different for UG and PG design courses offered at Unitedworld Institute of Design. Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria for UID Aptitude Test 2020 for Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) courses below.
- Should have completed 10+2, higher secondary education with minimum 50% aggregate score (from any stream) from any recognised higher secondary school board as on date of commencement of academic session from July 2020.
- Clearance and merit of Design Aptitude Test (Tier 1 and Tier 2) for admission.

Application form is considered complete only after the payment of the fees. The form fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The UID application form fee is RS 2000/- for every candidate irrespective of caste, gender, and religion.
