World University of Design, Sonipat has a training and placement cell that plays an important role in the placement drive. The World University of Design placement cell bridges the gap between students and the corporate world. The WUD placement cell provides guidance and counselling to the students for their careers. It also conducts technical and soft skills programmes to increase the confidence of the students which will ultimately help during the final placement. It also ensures that the maximum number of students get placed in reputed companies. World University of Design placement is conducted on-campus. Career counselling is provided to the students at the World University of Design, Sonipat. WUD placement cell also provides internship opportunities. The placements till 2021 were 92% with the remaining opting for higher education and incubation. For the year 2022, pre-placement offers are already streaming in with the top package so far being Rs.24 LPA. The placement process of WUD Sonipat is given below:

World University of Design Placement Process

• Sending and acceptance of Invitation: The university sends an invitation to the potential recruiters via mail for conducting the recruitment drive and if the company wishes to conduct a placement drive, it accepts the invitation.
• Registration for placement and submission of CVs: Candidates interested in participating in the placement drive are invited to register in the recruitment drive and then submit their updated resumes.
• Fixing an Interview: A schedule will be made with the mutual consent of the recruiters and the placement cell and dates will be finalised for the campus recruitment.
• Introduction to the company: Companies will deliver a pre-placement talk for the students. The pre-placement helps the students to clear all the queries.
• Shortlisting of enlisted candidates: Based on the specific academic requirements as demanded by the recruiters, participation of the students in extracurricular activities, etc, the Cvs of the candidates will be shortlisted. 
• Written Tests conducted by Recruiters: Candidates whose CVs have been shortlisted have to qualify a written test to judge the skill-sets and knowledge of the potential students and candidates qualifying the test further proceed with the placement process.
• Group Discussion: Students who successfully qualify the test will further have to participate in Group Discussion and they have to present their thoughts in front of the interviewers and show their oratory skills.
• Interview: Candidates who get shortlisted during the Group Discussion will move further in the placement process and they have to qualify interviews, namely Technical Interviews, HR Interviews, etc that are taken in order to judge the overall personality of the potential candidate and ensure that the person is suitable for the job role.
• Final Selection and Making the Job Offer: Candidates who are successful in qualifying all the stages of the placement process conducted by the recruiters, are finally offered jobs.
