pdwords Student Expert 28th Feb, 2022

Hello,

You should wait out for the official notification regarding CUCET to know exact details regarding the exam pattern, last  year many universities were to accept admission based on CUCET scores which didn't happen, as of now only the only confirmation is for Delhi University and JNU to be taking admission for undergraduate and post graduate courses through CUCET scores, read out full story at https://news.careers360.com/after-du-jnu-decides-on-cucet-for-admission-from-academic-year-jawaharlal-nehru-university

the syllabus of the ug admission will definitely be based on 10+2 level only, in order to avoid the confusion please wait out for the official notification for the same, also you will have sufficient time to prepare for the exam.

keshav kumar 18th Jan, 2022

Hi aspirant,

Hope you are doing great.

Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology is a national-level exam conducted once a year.

So the syllabus of this exam is huge but you don't have to cover each and everything just study those topics which have been covered in bachelors and focus only on important topics.

The exam consists of 2 sections.

Part A: 60 compulsory questions, 1 marks for each correct answer, Negative marking of ½ marks for each incorrect answer.

Part B: 60 questions to be attempted out of 100, 3 marks for each correct answer, Negative marking of -1 marks for each incorrect answer.

Part A of the exam will consist the 10+2 level questions of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology so for this you have to complete NCERT first and along with that you can go for HC Verma, Maths from RD Sharma for physics and for chemistry OP Tandon, Objective Biology by Dinesh are best. Now the part B will have a graduation level question from Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology so for that you have to study those books which you have studied in your undergraduation. In addition you can go for  Biotechnology by Saras Publications, and Biotechnology by R C dubey.

Hope this helps.
