You can not get BARC previous year paper because of BARC Consider BARC Recruitment paper as their Intellectual property.

The statement regarding this fact is quoted below,

"Question papers are the intellectual property of this centre , The disclosure of which will harm the competitive position of other  candidates."

If you want to study for BARC then go with the syllabus. Practice all concept and theories. You can consider GATE previous year papers.

Previous year question papers of BARC are not available in the internet. For your reference, the difficulty level of the MCQs is at par with GATE. So, going through previous year gate papers will be more than enough.

In 2016 for OCES/DGFS Recruitment, 789 was the Gate score for Selection to Interviews for EC whereas in 2017 it was 807 so according to previous year cut off trend to get recruited there 790-810 would be the safest range.

There are two ways to apply in BARC for the engineering student. One is the training/projects domain another is the recruitment. For the training, only those students of B.E./B.Tech who have appeared 5thsemester and above can apply. For the recruitment, you have to appear in the GATE and secure marks above the cut-off to get yourself considered but this option is NOT possible in the 3rd year of your graduation.

The cut off varies year wise as there is nothing out for Gate 2018 cut off but as per last years detail, the cut off for Metallurgy (BARC OCES in 2017) was 646 and for BARC (OCES/DGFS in 2016) it was 606 as it keeps on fluctuating so it would be better if you get 650 or above as this would be the safest score to get recruited there.

The salaries also depend upon the profile and the designation he/she joins in. The packages vary in all PSUs.

The initial pay one can expect is minimum 50k rest depends on your profile. Some extra facilities provided are Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance etc.
