Hello student,

Hope you are in your good health, so I think you should first focussed on your current coming NEET 2021 examinations , right now it should be your priority if you score well enough then you have many options through NEET entrance only , NEET give admission in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH courses ,BPT and paramedical courses also.

But if you think you want to go for other options then you can do the following :-

  • BSC in any subjects
  • BBA
  • BA English Hons
  • BA PSYCHOLOGY
  • LLB
  • B pharma
  • D pharma
  • Biomedical engineering

Hope this helps!

Vanshika Nangia 2nd Oct, 2021

Hello dear aspirant ,

Hope you’re doing well.

If you change your stream from Science to arts, (B.A programme) then there will be a deduction of 2.5% from your best of four aggregate.

So your best four percentage is 89.50% , after deduction it will be 87%.
so, yes youre still eligible to take admission in B.A programme (history +English) in sri aurobindo College evening shift.

Kindly submit your documents as soon as possible.
hope this helps.

Please ask if you have any more questions.
all the best for your future!

how to calculate best of four percentage of subjects for admission in DU . my subjects and marks in 12 were physics 72 chem 65 Biology 69 English 90 and h.sc 85. plz calculate it for me and tell me the calculated percentage of 4 for applying in BA Hons English prog. ( OBC category ) changed stream

Anurag Khanna 2nd Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

First of all let me make you clear how the Best four marks are calculated for admissions :-

-->> Marks one language and three academic/elective subjects are taken into consideration.

-->> The three academic/elective subject includes -

** One subject in which admission is sought.

** If you don't mention the same subject in your best 4 in which admission is sought then a disadvantage of 2.5% will be applicable, for admissions in Honours programme.

-->> Two academic/ elective subjects from List A* and in case you do not include the two subjects in best 4 from List A* then you will get -2.5% on your total best 4 percentage.

-->> The subjects included in the calculation of ‘Best of Four’ must have at least 70% theory component and in case the criteria does not met then the marks of theory and practical shall be converted into 70% and 30% on pro rata basis.

* For more details and subjects available in the List A kindly check out the link given below :-

https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks

Now as you have mentioned that you are seeking admission in BA hons. in English so your best 4 percentage would include 90 for English, 85 for H.Sc., 72 for Physics and 69 for Biology so your best 4 percentage comes out to be 79%.

You can use DU College predictor tool which will tell you what all colleges you can get based upon your best four percentage :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

how to calculate best of four percentage of subjects for admission i. DU . my subjects and marks in 12 were physics 72 chem 65 Biology 69 English 90 and h.sc 85. please calculate it for me and tell me the calculated percentage of 4 for applying in BA Hons prog. ( OBC category ) (change in stream )

Anurag Khanna 1st Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See we need to know in which BA Hons. program, you want to enroll because according to it the best four percentage would be calculated.

So let me make you clear how the Best four marks are calculated for admissions :-

-->> Marks one language and three academic/elective subjects are taken into consideration.

-->> The three academic/elective subject includes -

Now as you have not mentioned in which BA program you are seeking admission so it is very difficult to tell your best 4 percentage because if you are seeking admission BA hons. in English then best four percentage would be different and if it is in any other then it would differ accordingly. However after reading the process mentioned above you can calculate the best four percentage by yourself.

You can also use DU College predictor tool which will tell you what all colleges you can get based upon your best four percentage :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

passed cbse 12 exams in 2020 with physics chemistry biology mathematics with 88.2% , took admission in btech 1st year computer science, apperaring for neet 2021 code 02 selected if get selected will my seat be cancelled during counselling due to btech in computer science but passed boards with pcmb.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

You cannot study in both colleges simultaneously, if you get any seat allotted to you during NEET counselling and you accept it, then you need to leave the former college (from where you are pursuing B.Tech Computer Science).

But if you do not get college in which you are interested, I would suggest you to continue with your B.tech as you have already completed its first year.

Thankyou!
