You can buy any book for the entrance purposes like -
If you wish to buy something , buy Arihant publication book for M.A preparation. Read about history of English literature , in market there are plenty of books . Check whichever suits you . History of English literature by David Daiches is most recommended book , make your current flow of preparation in the direction of the entrance preparation books .
Make notes according to prescribed period in the history of English literature , try to read the summaries of all the writers of all the period Chaucer, Shakespeare , Dickens etc .
