Sir, I have cleared my class 12th exam from CBSE in 2018 and gave JEE Exam but not got selected. If I apply 12th from NIOS Board in 2020 then Will I be eligible for reappearing in JEE Exam further ?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 17th Dec, 2020
Hello,

You can apply for the 10+2 NIOS board exams after minimum gap of two years after 10th board examination. You can also opt for ODES(On demand examination). This mode allows you to appear for senior secondary examination after passing your 12th.However you won't be provided the transfer cum migration certificate. You'll be given the marksheet only.

I hope this helps

if our regular CBSE candidate failed in class 12th and reappear for class 12th exam as a private open candidate so he is eligible for neet 2021 or not.?

Aryan Bhardwaj 17th Sep, 2020

Hello Hitesh,

For appearing in NEET exam you must have to be passed in 12th exam. After passing the 12th exam you will be eligible for giiving NEET exam.

One should be passed in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and English. If you will get failed in any of the subject then you will not be able too give the examination of NEET.

For general category one should attain at least 50 percent in 12th examination or in HSC examination.

I had failed in class 12th exam in academic year 2018-2019 and I reappeared for class 12th exam in academic year 2019-2020 and passed .Am I eligible for neet 2020 ? Which code will be suitable for me i.e code 1 or code 2 or so on ?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 11th Aug, 2020

To be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. If you fulfil this criteria against your Category, then you are eligible for NEET and your code will be 02.

so Im a sc category student i got 67%in my board class 12th exam from bihar board so am i able to get admission to iits or nits or i had to face any problem?

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 24th Jul, 2020

Hello Sam,

Earlier following was the eligibility criteria for getting admission in IITs, NITs and CFTIs.

  • A candidate has to score 75% or more aggregate marks in his/her +2 Higher secondary examination or he/she has to be in top 20 percentile list in his/her respective board.

But this is no longer valid and students have to get just passing certificate in +2 examination. Some time before it was announced for IITs only. But HRD minister in his tweet has now mad it very clear that the same is applicable for admission in NITs and CFTIs as well. So you will definitely get admission provided you perform well JEE examination.

Hope it helps.

All the best.

Don't worry you will definitely get good marks this time. The reason for failing might by different as you have not Studied well or there might be any other issue .We all know that 12 th result is very crucial for us .As per latest guidelines of government dates for compartment exams have not been decided due to covid19  , in that case you might have to appear for private examination.

For studying proper , study the subject thoroughly with ncert and prefer previous compartment paper for better understanding and practice .

Hope you will definitely score good marks this time.

All the best .
