how can l prepare for cusat? which level l study for cusat? jee level or keam level?

pri111nah 3rd Apr, 2022

Hi,

CUSAT CAT is an easy entrance exam to crack when compared to KEAM and JEE. CUSAT CAT contains 250 MCQ questions to be finished in 3 hours. So it is somewhat difficult to do all the 250 questions within the time. Just attend easy questions first and if there is still time left after you have finished the easy ones, you can spend it to do the difficult ones.

Candidates looking for best books for CUSAT CAT preparation can go through this section. There can be "n" number of CUSAT CAT study materials but candidates should try to follow only genuine and authentic sources. Also, they should try to keep limited sources that can be revised easily. Other than self-made notes, following is the list of CUSAT CAT best books for preparation:

  • NCERT of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class 11 and 12
  • Solutions of Concepts of Physics by HC Verma ( Volume I)
  • Solutions of Concepts of Physics by HC Verma ( Volume II)
  • Understanding Physics by DC Pandey
  • Mathematics for Class 12 by RD Sharma ( Volume I)
  • Mathematics for Class 12 by RD Sharma ( Volume II)
  • Concepts of Organic Chemistry for JEE OP Tandon
  • A Textbook of Inorganic Chemistry for competitions OP Tandon
  • A Textbook of Organic Chemistry for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced by Arihant Publications

Previous year's question papers are there in the CUSAT website. Just go and refer it.

Hope this helps.

ALL THE BEST.

is it possible to get admission at cusat without getting rank in CAT exam?

pri111nah 30th Mar, 2022

Hi,

Well, It's obvious you can't .

But if you are not a citizen of India then you may get admission under Foreigner Quota.

For getting admission in CUSAT, it's compulsory for everyone to give the CAT because the roll number generated at the time of registration and the rank which you will score will be the primary identity for you.

The CUSAT CAT is the normal channel for admission to most programmes in CUSAT. But in the case of the new Integrated MSc programmes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Statistics, preference will be given to students possessing KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) scholarship. They do not have to appear for CAT, but they have to apply for CAT through online and should pay the application fee.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

can I redo my plus two even after I pass both plus one and plus two for kerala State syllabus (I want to get into engineering CUSAT and it requires me to have 50% in PCM subjects, I have passed in all of them but I do not have 50% in plus two PCM subjects, can I redo my plus two exams) pls help

Anurag Khanna 21st Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See you can appear for 10+2 but there is no need to appear for all subjects again because through Open board either of your state or from NIOS you can appear for only PCM subjects without wasting your year because for CUSAT you only need 50% or more marks in 10+2 in PCM combination and in other subjects you should have passed at least so you can appear for PCM subjects through any of the central/state recognized board of education. And if you are able to secure more then 50% marks in PCM combination subjects then you can use these marks to satisfy the eligibility criteria for CUSAT.
