btech in biotechnology from pesu, dsce or computer science in vemana ? please tell

sadafreen356 21st Aug, 2024

All three options are good in their own way but it ultimately depends on your area of interest career goals and opportunities.however in all of three DSCE is best in its curriculum and strong industry connection it provides research opportunities and good placement in reputed companies like biocon GSK etc.its location is also good as it is in banglore which is hub for biotech and health care industry where job opportunities are more.there is high demand of CS graduates in industry but in vemana fewer course options and electives available which blocks your future path.

Prachi Kumari 20th Aug, 2024

Hello,

With a 60 percentile in mind, you can still find several good options for studying Computer Science, though you might need to look at a range of colleges in and around Jalgaon. Here are some options you might consider:

In and Around Jalgaon:

  1. Smt. Chandaben Home Science College, Jalgaon

    • Though primarily known for its home science programs, they might have related or ancillary computer science programs or tie-ups.
  2. Jalgaon Institute of Computer Science

    • Look for local institutes specializing in computer science that may offer diploma or certificate courses.

Nearby Cities:

  1. Government College of Engineering, Jalgaon

    • One of the prominent engineering colleges in the region, known for its various engineering programs.
  2. Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai

    • Although a bit further away, it is well-regarded and might be worth considering if you are open to a longer commute or relocation.
  3. Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology (VESIT), Mumbai

    • A reputable engineering college that might accept students with a percentile around your range, depending on cut-offs and other criteria.
  4. K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai

    • Another good option in Mumbai; known for its strong computer science programs.

General Advice:

  • Check Eligibility Criteria : Make sure to check the specific eligibility criteria and cut-offs for each college. Some might have a higher or lower threshold based on their overall admission process.
  • Entrance Exams : Look into local or state-level engineering entrance exams and their cutoff trends to match your percentile with available options.
  • Private Colleges : Private institutions might have different admission criteria and could be a viable option if they have good Computer Science programs.

Consider reaching out directly to the admissions offices of these colleges or visiting their websites for the most current information. Additionally, local education fairs or counseling services might provide additional insights and options.
