please tell me about non attending diploma mechanical after iti and fee structure also

Samriddha Pal 1st Jun, 2025

Hello,

A non-attending diploma in Mechanical Engineering (also known as part-time, distance, or correspondence diploma) is designed for working professionals or ITI graduates who wish to continue their education without attending regular full-time classes. After completing ITI in a relevant trade (such as Fitter, Turner, or Machinist), you are eligible for lateral entry into the second year of the diploma course through part-time mode, usually offered by state technical education boards or institutions like IGNOU, NIOS, or recognized polytechnics.

The fee structure for such programs is relatively affordable, usually ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 25,000 per year, depending on the college and state. Government polytechnics charge lower fees, while private institutes may have slightly higher costs. In total, students can expect to spend around Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 for the entire course.

Hope this helps. All the best!

If I graduated from DU in 2024, and enrolled in an online Diploma course with IGNOU for one year- June 2024-July-2025. I am now applying for PG in MA english from DU. Will this be considered as a gap year? Or not? URGENT

Samriddha Pal 1st Jun, 2025

Hello,

No, this will not be considered a gap year.

Since you graduated from Delhi University in 2024 and simultaneously enrolled in a one-year online diploma course with IGNOU (June 2024 – July 2025), you were engaged in academic learning during that period. Even though the course is online, it is recognized by a central university (IGNOU), and this counts as an educational activity—not a break in your academic timeline.

So, when you apply for PG in MA English from DU, this period will be seen as a continuous academic engagement, not a gap year. Just be sure to mention your IGNOU diploma enrollment in your application or CV, if required.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Hello sir my name is Rituraj mishra , can you please tell me something about diploma of mechanical engineer fee structure ,placement, admission and faculties about this .

Samriddha Pal 31st May, 2025

Hello,

A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a 3-year technical program that teaches the basics of designing, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical systems. It's usually pursued after Class 10 or 12.

Fee Structure

The fees vary by institute type (government vs private) and state:

  • Government Polytechnic Colleges: Rs 5,000 to Rs15,000 per year
  • Private Polytechnic Colleges: Rs 25,000 to Rs 80,000 per year

Some colleges charge additional fees for labs, uniforms, exams, etc. Scholarships are available for SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker students.

Admission Process

1. Eligibility:

  • Class 10 pass (minimum 35%-50%)
  • Some institutes also accept Class 12 students directly into 2nd year (lateral entry)

2. Admission Methods:

  • Entrance exams like:
  • Delhi CET, JEECUP (Uttar Pradesh), TNEA, AP POLYCET, Maharashtra DTE, etc.
  • Merit-based admission in some states or private colleges

In top government polytechnic colleges, most faculty members are B.Tech/M.Tech graduates, often with teaching experience or industry exposure. Private colleges can vary — reputed ones have good faculty, but some may lack experienced staff. Always check college reviews or visit campus if possible.

Hope this helps. All the best!
