Akansha, to be eligble for UGC NET exam, the minimum eligibility criteria is that you should have completed your Post Graduate degree which is atleast 2 years of duration. Post Graduate Diploma is not considered a Post Graduate Degree and so with a Post Graduate Diploma, you unfortunately are not eligible for UGC-NET. Hello,

If you're enquiring about St Joseph Degree and PG College, Hyderabad then it offers Masters of Communication and Journalism, its eligibility criteria is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Admission is done through PGCET conducted by Osmania University.

See, in general any college offering Journalism and Mass Communication in pg level whether degree or diploma, graduation in any field from a recognized university is applicable, the thing is to have strong command over English language verbally or even writing wise, but then it's something you can work on and develop over a period of time.

I want to go in mass and media communication. Which is best for this:-BJMC or B.A IN ARTS(journalism and mass communication.

hrithik jain 1st Mar, 2020

Hello,

If we look it from comparative point of view then I would suggest you BJMC as it is considered to be more professional as well as more in depth related to journalism and mass communication. BJMC covers all the subjects related to mass communication and journalism. You might notice that BA in arts and BJMC has almost the same syllabus and some universities offer BA in Arts and some offers BJMC. BJMC offers a good in depth knowledge that is why I would suggest you to opt for it but if you are looking for some specific college then do check whether that particular college provides BJMC or not.
