how to be a certified language translator?

LALBEE 17th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing great. Candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in this area must enroll in translation or language courses at their local university and earn a Bachelor's degree in the language they wish to become fluent in. For instance, if a student wants to work as a translator for a bank, they must apply to both a degree programme in finance and a diploma or certificate programme in a foreign language.

Make sure the ATA exam supports the language you plan to use. Join the ATA (for at least 4 weeks prior to testing) and reaffirm your commitment to ethics.  Pay the translator certification fees.  Examine for the ATA certification. Pass the test.

what is the scope of learning urdu language

Muskan Dhalwal 8th Aug, 2022

Hi,

Learning a language is an experience in itself and when it comes to a language of such a rich historical value, it only adds up to your personality and life experiences. You get to read literature of a totally different domain, understand the culture of several countries where the language is of primary use.

Urdu is spoken by a large portion of the Indian population, but only by one community. With the popularity of English and Hindi, knowledge of Urdu is becoming more limited. Because there aren't many candidates, it will be easier to find work. Though there are few job opportunities, they are plentiful.

You could work as a professor, a translator, in MNCs, or as a journalist at an Urdu publishing house. Learning a language has only advantages. Because Urdu is a living language, learning it can be extremely beneficial. Historians and sociologists would benefit from an Urdu doyen.

Outside of India, especially in the UAE, the scope for Urdu is greater. It is a widely spoken language in Pakistan, the Middle East, and many other countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada. As a result, finding work is easier in those countries. You may be able to find work in multinational corporations in Arab countries. You could also work in local journalism and news organisations.

You can check the following link to see which colleges in India provide BA level courses for Urdu learners. This list includes prestigious colleges like Presidency College, Chennai, Government Brennan College, Thalassery, etc. -

Im now doing BCA. which second language is good to me..?

Sayan 7th Aug, 2022

Hello,

The fundamental programming languages that everyone working in the field of computer science should be proficient in are C, C++, Python, and Java.

I was able to understand all the fundamental ideas of programming, including statements, loops, conditions, classes, objects, structures, inheritance, etc., by learning C++ first.

Because C++ is a more recent and user-friendly version of C, learning C after C++ wasn't challenging. C is chosen because it is more machine-friendly than C++.

Python is considerably simpler, but Java is more intriguing since you can utilise its built-in libraries to construct lengthy pieces of code in only one line.

All of these languages have essentially identical programming fundamentals; the main differences are in their syntax, functionalities, and areas of application.

There are a lot more languages to learn, but if they are not necessary for your field of study or the project you are working on, there is no need to pick them up.

Thank You
