I am scoring 376 marks in neet done 11th and 12th in Delhi have domicile of Maharashtra. I am OBC can I get this college without management quota.

sai raja 3rd Aug, 2024

With a NEET score of 376, your chances of securing a seat in a government medical college are low, as the cutoff scores tend to be higher. However, as an OBC candidate with a domicile in Maharashtra, you may have opportunities in private medical colleges or deemed universities, which often have lower cutoffs compared to government institutions.

It is advisable to explore options in Maharashtra, where there are many private colleges available

but how will pcb students domba in hosptital management as it includes marketing, finance and accounting?????

Radhika Goyal 30th Aug, 2024

Hy,

Transitioning from a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) background to a field like Hospital Management can be challenging due to the distinct differences in the subject matter. However, it is certainly possible and can be successful with the right approach. Here’s how a PCB student can effectively move into Hospital Management, which includes areas like marketing, finance, and accounting:

1. Understanding Hospital Management

Hospital Management encompasses various aspects including:

  • Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day functioning of a hospital.
  • Marketing: Promoting hospital services and managing public relations.
  • Finance and Accounting: Handling budgeting, financial planning, and accounting.
  • Human Resource Management: Managing staff and ensuring effective human resource practices.

2. Bridging the Knowledge Gap

As a PCB student, you might not have a background in business or management. Here’s how you can bridge the knowledge gap:

  • Pursue Relevant Education:

    • Postgraduate Studies: Consider pursuing a Master’s in Hospital Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Many programs are designed to accommodate students from diverse educational backgrounds.
    • Certification Courses: Enroll in certification courses related to hospital management, healthcare finance, and marketing. These courses can provide foundational knowledge and skills.
  • Online Courses and Workshops:

    • MOOCs and Online Platforms: Websites like Coursera, edX, and Udemy offer courses in healthcare management, finance, and marketing. These can help you gain relevant skills and knowledge.

3. Gaining Practical Experience

  • Internships: Look for internships or part-time positions in hospitals or healthcare settings. This hands-on experience will help you understand the operational and management aspects of the industry.
  • Volunteering: Volunteering in healthcare settings can provide insight into hospital operations and patient care, and help you build a network in the industry.

4. Developing Skills Relevant to Hospital Management

  • Financial Skills: Learn basic accounting principles and financial management. Many hospitals require understanding financial reports, budgeting, and financial planning.
  • Marketing Skills: Acquire knowledge in healthcare marketing, including patient engagement, brand management, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Management Skills: Develop leadership and management skills. Understanding organizational behavior, human resource management, and strategic planning is crucial.

5. Networking and Professional Development

  • Industry Networking: Attend healthcare management seminars, conferences, and workshops to connect with professionals in the field.
  • Professional Associations: Join associations related to hospital management and healthcare. These can offer resources, networking opportunities, and professional development.

6. Leveraging Your Background

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Your PCB background provides a strong foundation in healthcare, which can be beneficial in understanding medical terminology, patient care, and clinical processes.
  • Critical Thinking: Skills developed during your PCB studies, such as problem-solving and analytical thinking, are valuable in management roles.

Summary

Although transitioning from a PCB background to Hospital Management requires some effort in acquiring new knowledge and skills, it is definitely feasible. By pursuing relevant education, gaining practical experience, and developing essential management skills, you can effectively bridge the gap and pursue a successful career in hospital management.

My 12th pcm group has less then 45%. I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR MHTCET EXAM AND THEIR ADMISSION ROUNDS. CAN I STILL GET ADMISSION FOR ENGINEERING THROUGH MANAGEMENT QUOTA

Ishita 3rd Aug, 2024
Hello Aspirant
The eligibility criteria of admission in BTech course Management Quota is that the candidate must have passed their 12th grade with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math) with an aggregate mark of 45%-50% from a UGC-recognised Board of Examination. The percentage requirement highly depends on the college that you are applying in. Some colleges even demand 60% aggregate. Since you have 45%, you are kind of in the middle of things and may not get admitted to a good BTech college. Maybe tier3 college.
So kindly confirm the college in which you want admission via Management Quota so we can specify the requirement. Or you can go and enquire in the institution itself, which will be more beneficial.

I have gotten admission on management seat in an engineering college in kerala.they are asking for data sheet of keam .I have not given any options for my first allotment and not paid 2000 for giving options.would I still get the datasheet?

Asmee Biswas 4th Aug, 2024

Hello Sugunan,

In Kerala's KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical) admission process, the data sheet is typically required for the allotment process. If you have not paid the 2000 fee for giving options or provided any options for the 1st allotment, it's likely that your allotment status may not be processed as expected.

Heres what you can do:

1. Contact the College: Reach out to the engineering college where you have secured admission to explain your situation. They may provide guidance on how to proceed or whether there are any alternatives.

2. Contact KEAM Help Desk: Reach out to the KEAM admission help desk or the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) for clarification on whether you can still receive the data sheet and complete the process.

3. Check KEAM Portal: Log in to your KEAM account and check for any updates or instructions related to your admission status and the necessary documents.

Addressing the issue promptly will help ensure you meet all necessary requirements for your admission.

Im studying Btech 3rd year, now I want to apply for EWS certificate to apply this I need income certificate. But the problem is I gave my income certificate to college management 2 years back now Im applying for new certificate, is it necessary to give my new income certificate to college

Kanishka kaushikii 1st Aug, 2024

Greetings,
While it's not generally a mandatory requirement to submit a new income certificate to your college every year, it's essential to check your college's specific rules and regulations.
Income certificates usually have a validity period. If your old certificate is still valid, you might not need a new one but, if you're applying for scholarships based on your EWS category, you might need to submit a recent income certificate.
You can go through the following steps:

1. Check Your College's Rules: Contact your college's administration or the concerned department to inquire about their specific requirements for income certificates.

2. Verify Certificate Validity: Check the validity period mentioned on your old income certificate.

3. Apply for a New Certificate (if needed): If your old certificate is expired or your college requires a new one, initiate the process of obtaining a fresh income certificate.

Can I pursue pgdm in supply chain management and logistics if I am extremely weak in maths and usually fail or barely pass in maths? I feel I can only study theory

Ishita 31st Jul, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Yes, you can pursue a PGDM in Supply Chain Management and Logistics even if you're weak in math.

While mathematics does play a role in supply chain management and logistics, it's not the sole determinant of success.

Topics like statistics, probability, and basic calculus are essential for understanding certain basic aspects of the supply chain, such as forecasting, inventory management, and optimization. The math used in the supply chain is often applied and can be learned through practical applications and tools.

Not being strong in Math will put you in a tough position, yes, but don't worry, you can work on your skills.

Still, if you feel like you can't do Supply Chain PGDM, you drop out of it and pursue some other course, there is no age limit or psychic limit to what you can study and what you can't

Hope this helps
