Hello want combination of mathematics andcomputer engineering is course available

G PAVAN KUMAR 2nd Oct, 2024

Math is an important part of computer science. But what math is most important? An overview of math topics useful in CS is outlined below. Computer Science Plus Maths is a great combination to have; this should enable you to develop engineering related S/W applications, which should enhance you value and credibility. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Computer Science And Mathematics under the Faculty of Sciences in the above listed universities include; Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) of Chemistry, Economics and Biology. Maths is not a mandatory requirement fo- CS. The CS course primarily focuses on law, finance, accounting, economics, and corporate governance. While having a strong foundation in maths can help you understand certain financial concepts, it's not a strict prerequisite

I am a commerce student, in 12th exam, I have 6 subjects which are ACC, BST, Eco, English and two additional subjects (Physical Education and Applied Mathematics), only RT is written in Applied Mathematics. I am not going to give this compartment exam. Am I eligible for government exam?

Nitin Kumar 14th Jun, 2024

The eligibility for government exams in India depends on the specific exam you are interested in.

Some government exams, particularly those for clerical positions, might require you to have passed all subjects in your 12th standard exams.

Many government exams, especially those for PSU (Public Sector Undertaking) banks, income tax departments, and other commerce-related fields, might have a minimum eligibility requirement only for specific commerce stream subjects like Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies.

If some exams require passing all subjects, you might need to consider appearing for a compartment exam in Applied Mathematics to improve your chances of eligibility. If the exams you are targeting focus on commerce stream subjects, having a "Failed" or "RT" (Re-appear Test) in Applied Mathematics might not necessarily affect your eligibility as long as you've passed your core commerce subjects (Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies) with the minimum required marks.

Which is better IIT Roorkee Chemical, IIT Mandi/Ropar/ Patna Mathematics and computing or IIT Kanpur Mechanical/Chemical, placement-wise and opportunity-wise in the last 3-4 years?

Radhika Goyal 28th Jul, 2024

Hy,

When comparing different IITs and their respective programs, it's essential to consider factors such as placement statistics, career opportunities, faculty, research facilities, and overall reputation.

IIT Roorkee, Chemical Engineering

  • Reputation: IIT Roorkee has a strong reputation in Chemical Engineering and is one of the oldest IITs, with a robust network of alumni and industry connections.
  • Opportunities: Graduates from IIT Roorkee in Chemical Engineering generally find good placement opportunities, with many securing positions in top chemical, petrochemical, and related industries.
  • Placement Stats: Historically, IIT Roorkee has had good placement records in Chemical Engineering, with competitive salaries and opportunities for higher studies or research roles.

IIT Mandi/Ropar/Patna, Mathematics and Computing

  • Reputation: These newer IITs have rapidly established themselves in Mathematics and Computing. They are known for strong programs in these fields and offer significant opportunities for research and industry collaboration.
  • Opportunities: Graduates from these IITs have been increasingly successful in securing roles in top tech companies, finance, and research institutions.
  • Placement Stats: Recent reports suggest that Mathematics and Computing graduates from IIT Mandi, Ropar, and Patna have seen strong placements, with competitive offers from leading tech firms and finance companies.

IIT Kanpur, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering

  • Reputation: IIT Kanpur is renowned for its engineering programs, including Mechanical and Chemical Engineering. It is one of the top IITs in terms of research output, faculty quality, and industry connections.

can anyone persue Master in geography after B sc in physics chemistry and mathematics

Nitin Kumar 11th Jun, 2024

Yes, you can definitely pursue a Master's in Geography (M.Sc. or M.A. depending on the program) even with a B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Many universities offering Geography Masters programs require a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, often with a minimum percentage (around 50%), but not necessarily in Geography itself.

The strong foundation in quantitative subjects like yours can be an asset in Geography. Geography uses statistics, spatial analysis, and modeling techniques that directly benefit from a math and science background.

Overall, your B.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics provides a strong quantitative foundation that can be a great asset for pursuing a Master's degree in Geography.

if i failed in physics in class 12. but i have passed in biology, chemistry and mathematics and also i have completed my graduation in zoology Honours. can i eligible for msc biochemistr

Nitin Kumar 10th Jun, 2024

Yes, failing physics in class 12th  most likely won't affect your eligibility for an MSc in Biochemistry  given that you have a BSc in Zoology (Hons).

MSc programs typically focus on your undergraduate degree for eligibility. Since you have a BSc (Zoology Hons.), which is relevant to the life sciences field, physics from 12th grade shouldn't be a hurdle.

While most universities focus on the graduation degree, a few might have specific requirements for the qualifying exam (12th grade). It is always best to check the eligibility criteria of the universities you are interested in. Their websites or admission brochures should have this information.

Overall, with a BSc in Zoology (Hons.), failing physics in 12th grade is unlikely to be a significant barrier to pursuing an MSc in Biochemistry. However, it's always good to check with the universities you're targeting to ensure you meet their specific requirements.

I hope it helps!
