which course in india is a certified and recognised to become a CBT trainer in india. i have done my BDS. MBA and MA in clinical psychology. online will also do. it has to be recognised in india

monag2673 9th Aug, 2024

Given your academic background, you're well-positioned to become a CBT trainer. To ensure your certification is recognized, look for programs accredited by reputable bodies like:

  • National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT): Offers certifications in various fields, including psychology and counseling.
  • National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC): Provides certifications for various vocational skills, including counseling and training.
  • State-level councils for education, research, and training: Check for specific certifications offered in your state.

While online courses can be convenient, consider in-person training for practical experience and networking opportunities.

Key considerations when choosing a course:

  • Curriculum: Ensure it aligns with CBT principles and practices.
  • Faculty: Experienced CBT practitioners as instructors are crucial.
  • Practical Training: Hands-on experience is essential for effective training.
  • Certification: Verify the recognition and validity of the certification.

By carefully selecting a program and gaining practical experience, you can establish yourself as a credible CBT trainer in India.

which college is better for psychology hons. aryabhatta college or Lakshmibai colllege?

Shrutika Wahane 2nd Aug, 2024

Hello there,

Both the colleges are Off Campus colleges. Aryabhatta is a co-ed college whereas Lakshmibai is only for women. In terms of Infrastructure, faculty and facilities Lakshmibai is quite nicer than Aryabhatta college. Aryabhatta college lacks good infrastructure, low quality education, and the crowd.

If your are opting for psychology, I'd suggest to look for more colleges than these two. Daulat Ram, Zakir Hussain, Kamla Nehru College, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Mata Sundari and so on. These are better colleges than Aryabhatta and Lakshmibai, if you have scored low in CUET.

I hope this information would be helpful to you.

Shrutika Wahane 29th Jul, 2024

Hello there,

Psychology is one of the youngest and growing subject in the world. Psychology has opened up new opportunities for students. If you have studied psychology in school, you probably had found it very theoretical. However, you will see the practicality of theories when you study it at a higher level. At higher level of education, you will get many opportunities to do research, present your work, and many internships which will serve as a basis of your case studies. It will be a thriving experience.

Psychology is a very growing subject, its relevance would be more in coming future in terms of getting job opportunities , especially in countries like the USA, The Netherlands, Germany. Psychology has many branches. Clinical Psychology, clinical psychologists deals with psychotic disorders, like depression, schizophrenia, OCD and so on. They work in hospitals and clinics. Sports psychologists, Career counsellers, Marriage psychologists, Industrial Psychologists, who work in Companies as a part of HR department. There are much more than these professions like Researchers, Professors,  Scholars, Psychologists in Forensic Sciences.

If you really want to study psychology, you have to dedicate your 4-6 years in this subject. In India, any psychologist have to complete their MA and M.Phil in psychology. After M.Phil, you will have your License to practice legally. This criteria can be different in other countries.

In India, the best college of BA Hons in Psychology is Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi. For master's, Delhi University is the best. For M.Phil, aspirants prefer NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro sciences).

It is indeed an interesting subject that can turn your life into something meaningful. If you are or will be starting your BA in Psychology, go for it. You will learn something new about you, your brain and people everyday.

I hope you'll find this information helpful.

i wanna apply to Fergusson college for bsc in psychology but I cant seem to understand the admission procedure and I feel completely lost when i open the colleges official site. I cant seem to understand on where i should look and what are they trying to tell us.

Ishita 30th Jul, 2024

Hello Aspirant

When you go to Fergusson College's official website, you'll see they have many blue-colored tabs at the top, in a horizontal position. The second last tab, labeled as "Admission" just before "Library", is the one you need to click on. Under Admission, click on "UG Admission 2024". Now the problem that you might be facing could be related to their terminology- FY, SY, TY admission.

FY means First Year Admission, SY means Second year admission and TY means Third Year Admission. Because you are a new candidate, you need to click on "FY Admission". When you click on that tab, you'll see all the information- dates, meri, etc.

hi can i get admissionin JMC in Delhi for Ba Hons. Psychology? I have scored 503 marks out of 800 in CUET 2024.

Shrutika Wahane 28th Jul, 2024

Hello there,

The cutoff of Psychology is always very high and the colleges offering psychology in DU is very less. Given your score you might not be able to get into JMC (Jesus & Marry College) if you belong general category. Even with category, it is difficult to get Psychology Hons.

However, wait till spot rounds and fill as much as preferences as you can in every college offering this course. I'd also suggest you to fill other course preferences as well, especially in colleges that offer psychology, so that you can at least be able to study psychology as a minor subject.

I hope this information will be helpful for you.
