In order to select candidates as teachers, TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) exam is conducted. TET is conducted to check the eligibility of candidates as teachers from classes 1st to 8th. The examination of TET is conducted in each state separately and also a combined national level test, which is known as CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test). CTET is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) while the state TETs or STETs are conducted by the State boards of education.
