does DSM DTU accept CMAT score and nirma university also?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 26th Dec, 2025

Yes, DSM DTU (Delhi Technological University, Department of Management Studies) does accept CMAT score for admission to its MBA programme. Many management institutes in India use CMAT as one of the valid entrance exams along with CAT, MAT, or GMAT, and DTU’s management department is among those that consider CMAT scores during the selection process. When you apply, your CMAT percentile will be used along with your academic record, group discussion or writing ability test and personal interview performance to decide your final merit for admission.

Nirma University also accepts CMAT scores for its MBA and related management programmes. Like most private and state universities, Nirma University uses multiple national and state level entrance exams as part of its eligibility and shortlisting criteria, and CMAT is commonly included in that list. After shortlisting based on the entrance score, institutes typically conduct further rounds such as group discussion or personal interview before final selection.

Because both DSM DTU and Nirma University consider CMAT, your preparation for CMAT can be beneficial if you want to keep your options open for MBA admissions. Make sure you check the latest admission brochure of each institute before applying so you know the exact cutoffs, weightage of different rounds and other requirements like work experience or minimum academic marks. All the best.

I graduated from BBA with statistics being one of the subjects in my first semester and i had no math in my higher secondary. Am i eligible to do MCA in any public university in India? If I pass the entrance exam with Math, Will the University accept?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 26th Dec, 2025

In most cases, eligibility for MCA in public universities in India is not decided only by clearing the entrance exam. As per AICTE and UGC norms followed by the majority of government and central universities, candidates applying for MCA must have studied Mathematics either at the 10+2 level or as a compulsory subject during graduation. Since you did not have Mathematics in your higher secondary education and studied Statistics only in the first semester of BBA, this can create an eligibility issue for many public universities.

Even if you clear an MCA entrance exam that includes Mathematics, universities usually verify academic eligibility separately at the document verification stage. Clearing the entrance exam alone does not override the basic eligibility criteria mentioned in the admission brochure. Most public universities specifically mention “Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level” as mandatory, and Statistics is not always treated as a substitute for Mathematics unless clearly stated by the university.

However, there are a few possible alternatives. Some state universities or private universities may allow MCA admission if Mathematics was studied at graduation level for at least one or two semesters, or they may accept Statistics as an allied subject. A few universities also allow students to complete a bridge course in Mathematics before or during the MCA programme, but this option is rare in public universities and more common in private institutions.

To improve your chances, you should carefully check the eligibility criteria of each university individually, especially those participating in CUET-PG or state-level MCA entrance exams. You may also consider enrolling in an approved Mathematics course (such as Mathematics through NIOS or an equivalent recognised board) if you plan to apply in future admission cycles, as this can help you meet eligibility requirements.

In summary, most public universities may not accept your application for MCA due to the absence of Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level, even if you pass the entrance exam. Still, a few universities may offer flexibility, so verifying official notifications and contacting the admission office directly is strongly recommended. All the best.

Which university is best for b. Com llb with cuet test, and hostel facilities

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 26th Dec, 2025

If you want to pursue B. Com LLB through CUET, there are several good universities in India that accept CUET scores for law and integrated commerce-law programmes and also offer hostel facilities for outstation students. Many central and state universities have started using the CUET score as part of their admission process to ensure a uniform and transparent selection. In terms of reputation, academic quality and overall student experience, universities like Banaras Hindu University (Faculty of Law), University of Delhi (some colleges offering integrated law programmes), Gauhati University, Barkatullah University, Mahatma Gandhi University and others include B. Com LLB or integrated law courses and consider CUET for shortlisting candidates. These universities usually have established law faculties, experienced faculty members and dedicated law departments that ensure comprehensive coverage of foundational subjects in commerce, law and legal reasoning.

Hostel facilities at these universities vary in terms of capacity and amenities, but most central and state universities provide residential options for both boys and girls with basic to good accommodation, mess facilities, study areas and security. Older and larger universities tend to have larger and more organised hostels, while newer campuses may still be developing infrastructure. Before applying, it’s a good idea to check the specific university’s prospectus or admission brochure to understand hostel fees, application process for hostel seats and whether you need to apply for hostel separately after securing admission.

When you shortlist universities, also consider factors such as faculty strength, moot court and internship opportunities, law library access, student support services and placement record for law graduates. Many students choose universities that balance academic quality with good living conditions, because both aspects contribute to a positive law school experience. All the best.

I scored 86.5 percentile in CAT 2025 with 10th:76% , 12th: 48% , Graduation: 67% (BBA). Does Nirma University have any minimum eligibility cutoff for Class 12 marks , or can a low 12th score be compensated by CAT Score and PI Performance?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

With a CAT 2025 percentile of 86.5, BBA graduation score of 67%, and 10th marks of 76%, you meet most of the basic academic requirements for MBA admission at Nirma University. However, Class 12 marks are an important factor to consider in your case.

Nirma University’s Institute of Management usually specifies a minimum eligibility of 50% aggregate in Class 10, Class 12, and graduation for general category candidates (45% for reserved categories). Since you have scored 48% in Class 12, you are slightly below the usual minimum requirement. This means that, strictly speaking, you may face eligibility issues at the application or shortlisting stage.

That said, Nirma University follows a composite score–based shortlisting process. CAT score, academic profile, work experience (if any), diversity factors, and performance in PI are all considered together. In some admission cycles, candidates marginally below the Class 12 cutoff have still been allowed to participate in the selection process, especially if their CAT percentile and interview performance were strong.

However, you should be realistic. A low Class 12 score does weaken your profile and cannot be fully “compensated” by CAT score alone. The PI performance can help improve your chances only if you clear the basic eligibility criteria set by the institute for that particular year. Final admission depends on institute-level scrutiny of documents.

What you should do:

  • Carefully check the latest Nirma MBA admission brochure for the exact Class 12 eligibility clause.

  • Apply if you meet the minimum eligibility or if the institute allows provisional consideration.

  • Prepare very well for the PI to justify academic improvement from Class 12 to graduation.

  • Keep backup MBA colleges that accept 85–90 percentile and have more flexible academic criteria.

In summary, admission to Nirma University is possible but uncertain due to your Class 12 marks. Your CAT score and PI can strengthen your case, but they may not completely override the minimum eligibility requirement.

On rank of 11000 in clat pg which university i can get admission

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

With a CLAT PG rank of around 11,000, getting admission into the top National Law Universities (NLUs) is not likely, as their general category cut-offs usually close much earlier. However, you still have realistic chances in lower-ranked and newer NLUs, especially in the later rounds of CLAT counselling or through vacant seats.

At this rank, you may consider NLUs such as NLU Tripura, NLU Meghalaya, NLU Nagaland, NLU Sikkim, NLU Andhra Pradesh, NLU Odisha, NLU Jabalpur, and NLU Aurangabad, particularly if you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or have domicile or women reservation applicable. Cut-offs for these universities tend to go higher in rank compared to older NLUs, and seats often open up in subsequent counselling rounds due to withdrawals.

If you do not secure an NLU seat, you should also strongly consider reputed state and private law universities that accept CLAT PG scores or conduct their own entrance tests. Universities such as Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Delhi University (DU – through CUET PG), Jamia Millia Islamia, Symbiosis Law School, Christ University, Jindal Global Law School, and Nirma University are good alternatives for LLM aspirants. Many of these institutions offer strong academic exposure, experienced faculty, and good research opportunities, sometimes even better than newer NLUs.

Overall, while a rank of 11,000 limits options in top NLUs, admission is still possible in newer NLUs or good non-NLU law universities, provided you actively participate in counselling rounds and keep backup options ready.

i am a common core degree ba from andhra university without intermediate. shall i eligible for bl or llb

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

If you have completed a BA common core degree from Andhra University, even without completing Intermediate (10+2) through the conventional route, your eligibility for BL or LLB depends on how your earlier education is recognised by the university and the Bar Council of India (BCI).

As per BCI norms, candidates seeking admission to a 3-year LLB or BL programme must have completed a recognised bachelor’s degree following the 10+2 pattern of education. This means that your admission to BA should have been based on a qualification that is considered equivalent to Intermediate by the university and the education authorities.

If Andhra University admitted you to the BA programme through a recognised alternative pathway, such as open schooling, bridge courses, or a qualification accepted as equivalent to 10+2, then your BA degree is considered valid. In such a case, you will be eligible to apply for 3-year LLB or BL programmes, subject to individual university admission rules and entrance exams.

However, if Intermediate was completely bypassed without any recognised equivalency, some law colleges and state universities may raise objections at the time of admission or enrolment with the Bar Council. This is why it is very important to verify whether your BA admission was officially recognised as 10+2 equivalent by the university and relevant education boards.

To avoid future complications, you should contact the law college or university where you plan to apply, explain your academic background clearly, and confirm eligibility in writing. If required, you may also consider completing a recognised open Intermediate qualification to strengthen your eligibility and avoid issues during enrolment as an advocate.

In summary, you may be eligible for BL or LLB, but final confirmation depends on whether your BA degree is recognised as following the 10+2 pattern as mandated by the Bar Council of India.

I have completed Diploma in Opthalmology, Is there any College Or University offers online Degree in B Optom Or Opthalmology?

Ayshwarya Mahadevan 25th Dec, 2025

After completing a Diploma in Ophthalmology, many students look for flexible study options, but it is important to clearly understand the nature of Optometry and Ophthalmology courses in India.

At present, no UGC-recognised college or university in India offers an online or fully distance mode degree in B. Optom (Bachelor of Optometry) or Ophthalmology. These programmes are classified as clinical and healthcare courses, which require compulsory hands-on training, hospital exposure, patient interaction, internships, and practical lab work. Because of this practical requirement, regulatory bodies like UGC, RCI (for allied health sciences), and state health universities do not approve these degrees in online or distance mode.

If you wish to pursue B.Optom after a Diploma in Ophthalmology, you can look for regular, full-time colleges that offer lateral entry or credit transfer, subject to their admission rules. Some private universities and health science colleges may allow diploma holders to join B. Optom in the second year, but this depends entirely on the institution’s policy and state regulations. Admission is usually through merit or an entrance test, and the course must be pursued in offline mode.

Alternatively, if you specifically need flexibility, you may consider non-clinical online courses related to eye care, such as certificates or diplomas in vision care management, healthcare administration, medical coding, hospital management, or public health. These courses do not replace B. Optom but can help in career growth alongside your diploma qualification.

In summary, an online degree in B. Optom or Ophthalmology is not available or valid in India. To move ahead academically and professionally in this field, you should opt for a regular, on-campus B. Optom programme or explore related non-clinical online courses depending on your career goals. Before applying, always verify the course approval and recognition status from UGC or the respective health university.

I have done my Diploma mechanical from Bhopal madhyanchal professional university in 2023 how I get 12 equivalency , university say it not possible Aiu ugc state government can provide this certification or not if they provide where can I apply plz answer big help for me.

Vaishnavi Viswanathan 24th Dec, 2025

Hello,

Given the data by you, your diploma is considered the equivalent of a class 12 education.

But the universities don't accept to offer such equivalent certificates. Such recognition is handled by the state education boards or government institutions.

AIU usually manages the foreign study affairs, not state secondary board education diplomas for class 12. Usually, MPSBE handles providing those polytechnic diplomas, considering and verifying them for 2- or 3-year diplomas.

Just apply at https://mpbse.nic.in/ to get the equivalent certificate. Attest your educational documents and ID proof.

Hope it helps with your query. Good luck.
