can i appear in neet exam if I dont choose english as a core subjects

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jul, 2025

No, you are not eligible to appear for the NEET exam if you do not have English as a core subject in Class 12. As per the NEET eligibility criteria set by NTA and NMC, candidates must have passed:

  • Physics,

  • Chemistry,

  • Biology/Biotechnology, and

  • English as core subjects in 10+2.

English is compulsory, and you must pass it along with the other three main subjects. Even if you score well in PCB, not having English as a core subject will disqualify you from the NEET exam.

If you've made a subject selection error, you may consider switching to English through open schooling or other recognized boards that offer core English.

all india rank 348161 which course is possible in neet 2025 in tamilnadu government college

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jul, 2025

With an AIR of 348161, getting an MBBS seat in a Tamil Nadu government medical college under either the All India Quota (15%) or State Quota (85%) is not possible, even under reserved categories.

Based on previous year trends:

  • For AIQ, SC/OBC seats usually close within ranks under 1.3 lakh.

  • For Tamil Nadu State Quota, SC closing ranks are around 48,000, and BC around 18,000.

Your rank is significantly beyond these cut-offs, so admission to MBBS in government colleges is unlikely.

Alternate options:

  • Apply to private medical colleges in Tamil Nadu or other states.

  • Explore AYUSH courses like BAMS, BHMS, or BPT, which have lower cut-offs.

  • Consider repeating NEET for a better score next year.

  • Check for management quota seats if financially viable.

Chelsie G 18th Jul, 2025

In management, salary packages often depend on the specialization, college reputation, job role, and industry demand. However, some specializations generally offer higher packages than others.

  1. Finance ; Known for high-paying roles like Investment Banking, Financial Analyst, and Risk Management. Top recruiters include banks, financial firms, and consulting companies.

  2. Marketing ; Offers good packages in roles like Product Manager, Brand Manager, and Digital Marketing Head, especially in FMCG, tech, and e-commerce sectors.

  3. Business Analytics OR Data Analytics ; In demand across industries due to data-driven decisions. Roles include Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Manager, etc.

  4. Operations Management ; High salaries in logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing sectors, especially in global companies.

  5. Human Resource Management ; While average packages are lower compared to Finance or Analytics, HR roles in top companies or MNCs can still offer attractive salaries.

  6. International Business OR Strategy ; These are niche but offer high packages if pursued from top B-schools, especially for global roles.
