Dear student,
A B.Sc. in Mathematics from Mumbai University or top colleges in Mumbai can definitely be a good choice, especially if you plan to go for higher studies or build a career in analytical fields.
Math graduates are often hired in sectors like finance, data analysis, software, teaching, and research. Many students use this degree as a stepping stone for further education—like M.Sc., MBA, MCA, Actuarial Science, or even Data Science courses.
Colleges like St. Xavier’s, Mithibai, NMIMS, and Ruia College have strong academic reputations and decent placement support. At top institutes, packages can go up to Rs.8–12 LPA, especially if you develop skills beyond the classroom.
That said, entry-level jobs after just a B.Sc. might not offer very high salaries compared to engineering or management. But with the right focus, your options grow with time—especially if you’re strong in maths and analytical thinking.
If you’ve cleared TS PGECET (or have a valid GATE/GPAT score), you’ll need to register for counselling to get a seat in M.Tech or other PG programs in Telangana.
Go to the official TS PGECET counselling website (pgecetadm.tsche.ac.in). Register using your hall ticket number and rank, then pay the counselling fee (Rs. 1,200 for General, Rs. 600 for SC/ST).
Scan and upload all required documents like your rank card, degree certificate, marksheets, Aadhaar, caste certificate (if applicable), etc.
Depending on your category, you might be asked to visit a help center. For most, online verification is enough, but special categories (like NCC or CAP) may require in-person verification.
Once verified, log in and choose your preferred colleges and courses. Arrange them in order of priority and lock your choices before the deadline.
Seats are allotted based on your rank, preferences, category, and seat availability. Check the result on the website and download the allotment letter.
Visit the college you’ve been allotted with your original documents and the allotment letter to confirm your admission.

If you’ve scored 398 in NEET 2025 , your chances of getting a BDS seat at Government Dental College, Pudukkottai will mostly depend on your category .
