I secured 355 in 2025 NEET. I am from general category. What are my prospects for MBBS and BDS in AIQ and SQ. Thanks

SHUBHANGI SINHA 22nd Jun, 2025

Hello,

The cutoff will may go above 550+ for MBBS and 450+ for BDS in prestigious government colleges, it is quite improbable that someone with 355 marks will be accepted into an MBBS or BDS seat under AIQ for general category. However, MBBS places may be available at certain deemed colleges, but the cost is quite costly.

Depending on the state cutoff and the quantity of seats available, you might have an opportunity to obtain a government MBBS seat in your state under the 85% state quota.

For BDS

Government colleges: A government BDS seat in the general category is unlikely to be obtained with score of 355,

Private colleges: Through management or NRI quotas, you might have a greater chance of getting a BDS seat at a private dental college.

jee main 2025 air 6068 (st) cse ai & data science (b tech) in which college can i get seat? Specially in west bengal

OISHEE BANERJEE 20th Jun, 2025

Alright, so with a JEE Main 2025 All India Rank of 6,068 in the ST category and your interest in B.Tech in CSE with AI & Data Science, you’re actually in a pretty solid position, especially if you're looking at colleges in West Bengal.

First off, IIIT Kalyani should definitely be on your radar. It’s one of the top technical institutes in the state and takes JEE Main scores through JoSAA counselling. For ST category, the cutoff for CSE usually goes somewhere around 7,000 to 8,000 in AIR, and since your rank is 6,068, you fall nicely within that range. If they have specializations like AI or Data Science as part of the core or elective structure, you're in a good place to grab one of those seats.

Now if you’re looking beyond the centrally funded institutes, Haldia Institute of Technology is also a decent option. They offer specializations like AI and ML, and in recent years the closing ranks for such branches have gone pretty high; way beyond your rank, so you’re definitely in the safe zone there too. Same goes for options like IEM Kolkata, Techno India, and even Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology if you're open to broader CSE or IT streams where AI related electives can be chosen later.

Basically, you're well positioned to secure a good seat. Keep your preferences sharp during counselling, especially in JoSAA and maybe WBJEE if you're considering state counselling too. Hope for the best!

Class 12 admission date for 2025-2026

Previa Gayu 18th Jun, 2025

The admission process for Class 12 for the academic year 2025–2026 generally starts during the months of May or June. Most schools that are affiliated with state boards or the CBSE board begin their admission process soon after the Class 11 annual results are declared. The admission process includes issuing application forms either online or offline. Students are required to fill out these forms carefully and submit them along with the necessary documents such as the mark sheet of Class 11, birth certificate, transfer certificate, and passport-sized photographs.

After submission, the documents are verified by the school authorities, and a list of selected candidates is displayed. In some schools, preference is given to students who have studied Class 11 in the same institution, while in others, admissions are open to all based on the marks obtained. Once the admission is confirmed, students are required to pay the admission fees. The new academic session usually begins by the end of June or the first week of July. Students are advised to regularly visit the official website or office of the school they are applying to for exact dates and further updates.

296 marks for sc category rank 46339 can I get mbbs seat in Karnataka

Previa Gayu 18th Jun, 2025

If you have scored 296 marks in NEET 2025 and you belong to the SC category with a rank of 46339, then you may have a fair chance of getting a government MBBS seat in Karnataka under the state quota. Generally, the cutoff marks for SC category candidates in Karnataka are lower compared to the general category due to reservation benefits. In previous years, SC candidates with similar marks have secured seats in some government medical colleges in Karnataka. However, the chances of admission depend on the number of available seats, the difficulty level of the exam in that year, the total number of applicants, and the category-wise cutoff. Therefore, you are advised to attend the state counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority, fill in as many choices as possible, and stay updated with the counselling schedule. You are also encouraged to apply for All India Quota seats, as a few reserved seats may also be available in other states.

harsh singh 18th Jun, 2025

With CRL 2,75,469 and SC rank 15,786, your chances of getting NIT Patna or any NIT are very low, even under the Home State quota (Bihar). Cutoffs for SC usually close around 10,000–12,000 in most NITs.

My sc certificate has a old pic (5th grade) so will it be valid during document verification? And if not, If I wish to present a new certificate during reporting, I uploaded the old certificate in the NEET application form so showing a new certificate during college reporting will cause any problem?

sadafreen356 18th Jun, 2025

Certificate Validity

1. *Generally, certificates are valid*: Despite the photo being old, the certificate itself might still be valid.

2. *Institutional discretion*: The accepting authority (college or institution) might have specific requirements or guidelines regarding certificate validity and photo updates.

Document Verification

1. *Check with the institution*: Verify with the college or institution about their specific requirements for document verification.

2. *Potential issues*: If the institution requires an updated photo, presenting an old certificate might cause issues.

Uploading Old Certificate vs. Presenting New Certificate

1. *Consistency*: If you uploaded an old certificate during the NEET application process, presenting a new certificate during college reporting might raise questions.

2. *Explain the difference*: Be prepared to explain the reason for the difference in certificates, if asked.

Recommended Steps

1. *Contact the institution*: Reach out to the college or institution to clarify their requirements and potential implications.

2. *Carry both certificates*: Consider carrying both the old and new certificates to document verification, in case you're asked to explain the difference.

It's essential to verify the institution's requirements to ensure a smooth document verification process.
