Hello Aspirant,
If you are planning on pursuing an Electronics program with VLSI specialization, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) and SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur (Main Campus) are two decent private colleges, but there is a considerable difference:
SRM Kattankulathur (Main Campus):
Manipal University Jaipur:
If your primary objective is core VLSI with placement in semiconductor companies, neither college is likely to provide really solid core VLSI placements similar to what top IITs, NITs or IIIT-H might offer. However, SRM Main Campus has relatively Stronger industry tie-ups, Better electronics lab facilities and Stronger placement record

With an All India Rank of 85,400 in NEET 2025, your chances of getting a BDS seat in a government dental college depend heavily on your category, state of domicile, and whether you're applying under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) or 85% State Quota.
If you belong to the Unreserved (General) category, it is difficult to secure a seat in government dental colleges through AIQ, as the cutoff usually closes by around 55,000–60,000 rank. Even in State Quota for general candidates, most government dental colleges tend to close by 65,000–70,000, though it can vary depending on how competitive the year is and the number of applicants in your state.
If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC, especially under the State Quota, your chances are significantly better. In many states like Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh, SC candidates have secured BDS seats in government colleges at ranks above 80,000 in the second or mop-up rounds. States with a higher number of dental colleges and reserved seats tend to have more flexibility in cutoffs for SC/ST categories.
Also, the availability of seats and number of applicants in a particular state impacts the final cutoff. For example, in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, government dental seats for SC candidates have remained open till around 90,000–95,000 rank in previous years, especially in later rounds like mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.
You should definitely participate in both All India and your State Quota counseling, stay active throughout all rounds, and be open to less sought-after colleges. Also, consider looking at government-aided or semi-government colleges where the fee is affordable and ranks go lower than central institutions.
Hope this helps!
Alright, so with a JEE Main CRL rank of 95,000, an EAPCET rank of 11,900, and 994/1000 in IPE, you're in a pretty decent spot overall. Since you’re from the General-EWS category, that gives you a slight advantage too.
Now, for EAPCET-based admissions into these colleges, especially for popular branches like CSE, the cutoff ranks are usually pretty tight. In most cases, CSE at CBIT and Vasavi tends to close within the top 3,000 to 4,000 ranks. For VNR, it stretches a little more, but even then, CSE might close around 5,000 to 6,000. Since your EAPCET rank is around 11,900, it’s going to be hard to get CSE in these colleges through the regular counselling route.
But here’s where the B-category comes in—this is where colleges take in students based on JEE Main scores, management quota, or sometimes directly. Your JEE Main rank of 95,000 isn’t exactly top-tier for CSE at CBIT or Vasavi, but for IT or even ECE, you might actually have a pretty decent shot, especially if you apply early and stay proactive.
So realistically speaking, getting CSE in CBIT or Vasavi under B-category might be tough, but IT or related branches are definitely possible. VNR VJIET might be slightly more relaxed compared to the other two, so you’ve got better chances there, especially for IT or ECE.
I’d suggest applying for B-category seats in all three colleges, and while keeping your hopes up for CSE, definitely stay open to IT. It’s super close in curriculum and career scope, and you can always work towards CS profiles later through internships and skills.
All the best!

It may be tough for you to get government MBBS seat in CMD College (Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Durg). With a NEET Score of 222 and coming from OBC category, the cutoffs for OBC candidates are typically higher and mostly higher under state quota. But you still can try for management or NRI quota seats, those cutoffs generally are lower, but fees are higher. You should participate in Chhattisgarh state counselling, and also keep backup options open BDS/private colleges.
