With a COMEDK rank of 96,700, you may not get top branches like CSE or AI & ML in leading colleges. However, you still have chances in private engineering colleges for branches such as ECE, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.
Colleges like Don Bosco Institute of Technology, KLE College of Engineering, and other similar tier colleges may offer seats in the later rounds, especially in non-CSE branches. It's advisable to fill in as many options as possible during counselling and stay updated on vacancy positions during each round.
Prioritize core branches and consider institutes with good faculty and infrastructure even if they are outside the top tier.
Hello
Government MBBS Colleges (AIQ 15%)
Not possible at this rank.
Government medical colleges under AIQ close at much higher scores, even for EWS (usually 490–510+ marks).
EWS reservation is competitive and not enough to offset the low score.
Government MBBS (State Quota 85%)
Chance is still very low, but:
If you're from a less competitive state (e.g., some Northeastern states, Uttarakhand, etc.) and EWS, there is a very slim possibility in the last round (stray vacancy).
Check your home state cutoffs under EWS — still, MBBS government colleges often close around 420–450+ marks under EWS.
Private MBBS Colleges
You can get a seat in private MBBS colleges, especially under:
Management quota: Fees 10–18 lakhs/year
EWS seat in private (if available in your state): Still rare and requires >350 marks in many states
I think You Should Do:
Register for your State NEET UG Counselling
Consider private college options
Look at alternative options like BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, if you want to stay in India at lower cost
Hello Gnaneswar,
Yes, you can study B.Sc. Bioinformatics if you take Biology and Chemistry as your domain subjects in CUET UG, as long as the university you are applying to requires these subjects as part of the combination of topics included for the admission on that course.
But also, there may be universities that require a combination that also requires Mathematics or Physics with Biology and Chemistry topics for B.Sc. Bioinformatics , so it's important you check the specific requirements to see if you are eligible for admission for that university choice on their official website or CUET Information Bulletin.

Hello Yasir
I researched a bit and found out that SSC and most government exams consider the result declaration date as the final qualifying year because that's when you officially passed.
So you should fill 2022 in your SSC MTS application but I will suggest verifying this with someone elder who has given these exams and knows them.
To know more about SSC MTS: SSC MTS
Thank You!!!
Dear Candidate , Yes , you can avail the home - state quota at Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering and Technology ( GKCIET ) , Malda , as you are from Assam : - GKCIET reserves 25 % of seats for North - East ( NE ) state candidates , which includes states like Assam , Meghalaya , Manipur , Nagaland , Arunachala Pradesh , Mizoram , Tripura and Sikkim under its NE quota . - Additionally , 50 % seats are allocated to West Bengal ( home state ) via WBJEE , but as an Assam Candidate you are eligible under the NE quota .
With this cutoff and BCM community rank , your son has decent chances of getting CSE in several Tier 2 and Tier 3 self-financing engineering colleges :
1. Karpagam College of Engineering , Coimbatore
2. Kongu Engineering College , Erode (possible in lower-demand branches or through management quota)
3. Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology , Coimbatore (may get IT or ECE , if CSE is not available)
4. Velammal Institute of Technology , Chennai
5. SNS College of Technology , Coimbatore
6. Panimalar Engineering College , Chennai (possible in second round)
7. Muthayammal Engineering College , Rasipuram
8. Kumaraguru College of Technology , Coimbatore (less likely for CSE but other branches may be possible)
Apply through TNEA counselling and prioritise colleges where CSE cutoff is around 179–180 for BCM.
Consider IT or ECE as alternative branches , if CSE is unavailable in top choices.
