Yes, JIS University in West Bengal offers courses that are AICTE approved. It is a private university established in 2014 by the state government. The university is approved by UGC, and its technical and professional courses like engineering, management, and pharmacy are approved by AICTE.
Universities like JIS do not need separate AICTE approval for the entire university because they are already approved by UGC. But still, their technical courses have AICTE approval. JIS University also has other recognitions from NAAC, NBA, AIU, PCI, and BCI.
That means your degree from JIS University is valid and recognized in India.

Hello aspirant,
Thanks for reaching out
With an All India Rank of 362000 in NEET UG 2025 and your home state being Bihar, getting a government MBBS seat will be quite difficult unless you belong to a reserved category like SC/ST. For General category students, the cut-off for government colleges usually remains under 1.5 lakh AIR. However, you still have several options like :
1. Private Medical Colleges in Bihar and other states through state quota or management quota but fees will be higher.
2. BDS seats are relatively easier to get with your rank.
3. Allied health sciences courses like BAMS, BHMS, BPT, and B.Sc. Nursing are also good career choices with such ranks.
Make sure to participate in both All India and State Counselling (Bihar UGMAC) and fill as many realistic choices as possible.

Hi Jyoti!
To check your result for your scholarship exam, you need to visit the official website where you applied or appeared for the exam. There is usually a result/login portal where you have to enter your roll number, registration number, or mobile number.
Keep your admit card ready , then go to the official website or app used for the exam , look for a Results or Candidate Login option and enter your credentials and submit. If it shows Selected you passed! If it says Not Qualified or only marks then you may not have cleared the cutoff. Some portals send SMS/email also, so check those too.
Good luck, and hope you get positive news!
Thank you!
To get accurate details, please ask your question by mentioning the name and location of your school.

The NIFT entrance exam has two main parts: CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test). The total marks and pattern depend on the course you are applying for.
If you are applying for B.Des (Bachelor of Design), then you have to take both CAT and GAT. CAT tests your creative skills like drawing and imagination. GAT tests your English, Math, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Case Study skills. CAT is for 50 marks, GAT is for 30 marks, and if you qualify, you also appear for a Situation Test of 20 marks where you make a 3D model. Total = 100 marks.
If you are applying for B.FTech (Bachelor of Fashion Technology), then you only have to take GAT. GAT in this case is for 100 marks. There is no CAT or Situation Test.
In the GAT paper, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. CAT and Situation Test are judged based on creativity, not MCQs.

Yes, taking admission in ADIS after diploma in engineering is possible, but most institutes require you to pass your diploma first. If you’ve failed, you may not be eligible right now. So it’s better to clear your backlogs first, then apply for ADIS. Once your diploma is completed, you can easily apply in institutes that offer industrial safety courses.
