want to know about MHCET Jee mains students counselling

Nitin Kumar 19th Jun, 2024

You can participate in MHT CET Counselling for admission into engineering colleges in Maharashtra if you:

  • Appeared for and qualified in JEE Main 2024.
  • Are a resident of Maharashtra or any other state in India. (There are a specific number of seats reserved for Maharashtra state and MHT CET qualified candidates though).

The MHT CET Counselling for JEE Main scores is typically conducted online by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (SCET Cell).

The online registration window usually opens in the last week of June (expected in the last week of June 2024 for the 2024 admissions). You'll need to register on the official website of SCET Cell and provide details like your JEE Main roll number, score, and other required information.

After registration, there will be a document verification process where you'll need to upload scanned copies of your documents (e.g., JEE Main scorecard, admit card, class 10th and 12th mark sheets, domicile certificate, etc.) online.

During this stage, you can choose the engineering colleges and programs you are interested in based on your JEE Main score, seat availability, and preferences. You need to lock your choices by a specific deadline.

Based on your JEE Main score, preferences, and available seats, the SCET Cell will allot seats through multiple rounds of counselling.

If you are allotted a seat in a desired college, you'll need to pay the admission fees, report to the college for document verification, and complete the admission formalities.

birth in Maharashtra but not stayed in Maharashtra.. can I be eligible for mhcet

Nitin Kumar 18th Jun, 2024
  • Maharashtra State Candidature (MSC): This category is for students who have passed their HSC (Std. 12th) examination from a recognized institution within Maharashtra.

  • Other State Candidature (OSC): This category is for students who have passed their HSC (Std. 12th) examination from a recognized institution outside Maharashtra.

Since you were born in Maharashtra but haven't lived there, you might fall under the Other State Candidature (OSC) category.

If you haven't lived in Maharashtra for a significant period, especially after Std. 7th or 8th, you will be considered under OSC.

In some cases, if your parents have a domicile in Maharashtra and you've lived with them for a certain period, you might be eligible under MSC. However, this depends on the specific MHT CET eligibility criteria for the year you are applying.

how can i join in diploma in pharmacy in government college...

Nitin Kumar 17th Jun, 2024

The process for joining a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) program in a government college can vary slightly depending on your state.

  • You need to have passed your 12th board exams (Science stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

  • The minimum marks required might vary, but it's generally around 50%. Some colleges might have a higher cut-off depending on competition.

Many states conduct entrance exams for admission to D.Pharma programs in government colleges. These exams test your knowledge of science subjects relevant to pharmacy.Look for information about the specific entrance exam for your state. Some common examples include UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh), GUJCET (Gujarat), etc.

Some states might have a merit-based selection process where they consider your 12th board marks directly, without an entrance exam.

MY FATHER IS AN ACTIVE PERSNOL IN CRPF AM I ELIGIBLE FOR DEFENCE QUOTA IN MHT CET

Nitin Kumar 17th Jun, 2024

Yes, you might be eligible for the Defence Quota in MHT CET if your father is an active personnel in CRPF.

The MHT CET Defence Quota reserves 5% of the total seats (with a limit of 5 seats per institute) for children of Defence Service Personnel

  • DEF-1: This applies to son/daughter/spouse of Ex-defence service personnel domiciled in Maharashtra.

  • DEF-2: This applies to children of active military personnel domiciled in Maharashtra.

  • CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) is a paramilitary force under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India.

  • While not strictly classified as "military," CRPF personnel are considered "Defence Service Personnel" for many benefits and quotas.

Since your father is an active CRPF personnel, you might be eligible under DEF-2 if:

    1. Your family is domiciled in Maharashtra: This means you and your father have a permanent residence in Maharashtra.

    2. Your father is actively serving in CRPF: This applies if he is currently employed and not retired.

I am OBC and I filled as OBC in mht-cet, but I am not NCL. Will it affect my percentile of cet?

Nitin Kumar 17th Jun, 2024

Yes, filling OBC in your MHT-CET application when you are not OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer)  might affect your eligibility and potentially your percentile calculation  in a few ways:

MHT-CET reserves seats for various categories, including OBC-NCL. If you are not OBC-NCL but applied under that category, it's a discrepancy in your application.

During verification, the authorities might disqualify your application if you don't possess the required OBC-NCL certificate. This could affect your eligibility for any OBC seat allotment.

If you are disqualified from the OBC category, you'll be placed in the general category for merit-based ranking. This could potentially affect your percentile since the general category might have a higher competition level.

i have completed mbbs from mp born in mp but studied from 3 to 10 in Gujarat. parents are in Gujarat since 15 years have property in gujarat.i want to take admission for md through state quota of Gujarat. what are the eligibility criteria for this . will i get domicile certificate of Gujarat

Nitin Kumar 15th Jun, 2024

Most government medical colleges in Gujarat reserve a significant portion of seats (around 85%) for students with a Gujarat domicile certificate.

Having completed MBBS from MP and studied from Grade 3-10 in Gujarat might make your eligibility for the Gujarat state quota a bit complex.

Since you completed MBBS in MP, you might have an MP domicile certificate. This could put you under the All India Quota (open to students from all states) for Gujarat MD admissions, not the state quota.  If your parents have resided in Gujarat for 15 years and own property there, they might be eligible for a Gujarat domicile certificate. However, this doesn't automatically translate to your eligibility.

Some states consider the location of your 10+2 education (Class 11 & 12) more important for a domicile certificate. Since you did that in Gujarat, it might strengthen your case for a Gujarat domicile certificate.

Explore the possibility of obtaining a Gujarat domicile certificate. You can approach the Tehsildar's office in your parent's current residence area in Gujarat. Explain your situation and inquire about the documents and procedures required for obtaining a domicile certificate based on your parents' 15-year residency and property ownership.

I got 60 percentile in KIITEE, will I get any of the electronics branch ?

Tanya Gupta 16th Jun, 2024

Hello,

With a 60 percentile in KIITEE, your chances of securing a seat in any of the electronics branches at KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) depend on the overall competition and cutoffs for that year. Generally, higher percentile scores are required for popular branches like Electronics and Communication Engineering. However, KIIT conducts multiple rounds of counseling, and cutoffs can vary. It’s advisable to participate in the counseling process, keep an eye on the cutoff trends, and have backup options in case you do not secure a seat in your preferred branch.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
