What is cutoff percentage for arts stream to secure admission in fyjc

Ayush Madanpotra 5th Aug, 2025

In Maharashtra FYJC (First Year Junior College) admission for the arts stream, the cutoff percentage depends on the college and the admission round.

In 2025, in Round 2, many good colleges had cutoff marks between 86% and 89%. Some top colleges like Fergusson College and Sir Parashurambhau College had higher cutoffs, around 94% to 96%.

By Round 4, the cutoff in most colleges was still around 85% or more. Students who scored less than 85% found it difficult to get admission into good colleges.

If you want admission in arts stream in a good college, it is better to have marks above 85% in your SSC exam. The cutoff can change every year depending on how many students apply and how high their marks are.

You can check college-wise cutoff lists and updates on this official website:

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, You can even study tourism and hospitality without passing 10th. There are many institutes that offer short-term courses/ diploma/ certificate that do not require you to pass 10th. These short term courses, diploma and certificate courses focus more towards practical aspects like; customer service, front office, housekeeping, culinary basics, etc. You can plan to start with those courses, gain some practical experience and grow in the industry. Some programs even allow you to study while you are working.

Explain about sN1 mechanism in chemistry 12

SEJAL JAIN 4th Aug, 2025

The SN1 mechanism (Substitution Nucleophilic Unimolecular) is a two-step reaction where the leaving group first departs, forming a carbocation intermediate.
Next, a nucleophile attacks this carbocation to form the final product.
It usually occurs in tertiary alkyl halides due to the stability of the carbocation.
The reaction rate depends only on the concentration of the substrate, not the nucleophile.

does the same college will allot in 2nd extended round which is alloted in 2nd round

Chelsie G 5th Aug, 2025

Yes, it is possible that the same college gets allotted again in the 2nd extended round if you haven’t changed your preferences or if there are no better options available based on your rank, seat availability, and category. Seat allotment depends on merit, choices filled, and seat vacancy in that round, so if your previously allotted college still has seats and fits your rank and preferences, it might get allotted again.

In Pharm D and BNYS ,which course is easy to study and salary details

OISHEE BANERJEE 4th Aug, 2025

Pharm D is generally considered more challenging than BNYS because it involves intensive clinical and pharmaceutical studies, including drug chemistry, pharmacology, and hospital training. It requires a strong understanding of science and consistent academic effort. In contrast,

BNYS focuses on natural healing, yoga, and alternative medicine, which many students find comparatively easier to handle due to less pressure in clinical and pharmaceutical subjects. In terms of salary, Pharm D usually offers higher starting pay in hospitals and pharmaceutical industries, especially if you aim to work abroad where the scope is much wider. BNYS salaries are moderate initially but can grow with private practice or if you work in wellness centers. If you're looking for easier academics, BNYS may suit you better. For higher earning potential and clinical exposure, Pharm D is the stronger choice.
