Hello,

Yes ,you can apply for jee main after 10th diploma but after 10th you can't take lateral entry in engineering or technical field so that your physics, chemistry, mathematics concept must clears .

So yes after 10th diploma in engineering you can give jee main and jee advance and take admission in IITs or NITs .
