If you're looking to register for Class 12 examinations through open schooling, you have two main options: the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as a private candidate.

• NIOS: Apply at sdmis.nios.ac.in (https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/) . Registration for Oct/Nov 2025 exams is open until Jan 31, 2025 (late fee applies after). As the last date is gone,  you can still register with a late fee of Rs 910 from March 1 to March 15, 2025.

• CBSE (Private) : For CBSE private candidates , the registration window for the 2025 exams has closed. The application period was from September 12 to October 16, 2024 , without a late fee, and until October 24, 2024 , with a late fee
