BEd is a teacher-training oriented degree, helping the students to get a job in schools and colleges.

This degree traditionally, is of two years but the NCTE board has now launched a one year BEd course which will be in effect from this year(2026) onwards. To address the issue of shortage of teachers, encourage students to pursue teaching are some of the motives behind launching this one year program.
