Dear candidate,
The authorities accept category certificate of candidates if the certificate for OBC category is a maximum of 1 year prior. For SC and ST categories, the certificate which is considered acceptable can be a maximum of 2 years prior.
So it is advised that you get a new category certificate made for yourself before the counselling begins so that you can provide the correct documents at the verification center.
