For example the fees semester wise for government medical colleges in West Bengal is 750 rupees per month amounting to 4500 rupees per semester which amounts to something around 40000 rupees throughout your MBBS course along with the form fill up fee of 1000 to 2000 before each university examination amounting to approximately 50,000 rupees for all the different formalities across your 4 and half years of medical education
What does not include your money spent after books or hostel accomodation or other charges incurred during the medical course which does not pertain to the strict adherence of university norms
for private medical colleges the fees may range between 2 to 4 lacs per semester for government quota seats and any amount upto rupees one crore for the entire medical course as laid down by the college authority is at the MBBS level for management quota seats.
