As you have not mentioned the exam it is not possible to give you the correct answer, however, in a general case, 57 percentile is not a good score in any competitive exam at national level, for example if you are inquiring about JEE, then a good score for ST category would be around 70 percentile.

WE CAN'T TELL THAT 57% IS BETTER AS MOST OF THE COLLEGES KEEP MIN 60% OR ABOVE THAT AS THEIR MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY.

EVEN FOR ANY COMPANIES AND GOVT JOBS, THEY SEE MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AS ABOVE 70% OR 65%.

As per me 57 percentage is better for ST category because mostly of students get admission on 40-50 percentage easily and that to in good college so as 57 percentage is better to get admission easily anywhere in ST Category.
