Let the mass of the lift is M
And the mass of the body be m
Now a be the acceleration of the lift
And g be the gravitational acceleration.
Now we have to find the tension .
Let the tension be T.
Hence T-(m+M)g=(m+M)a
T=(m+M)(g+a).
Now in the question we are given that
M=940
m=60
g=10
a=1.5
Hence T=1000*11.5=11500N
