Government Arts College, Ooty offers BA Defense course under the undergraduate program in the Department of Defense Studies and other languages. With only English medium availability. And the sanctioned strength for the course is 40 students.

This program provides knowledge about National security and military science.

It's main motto is to prepare candidates for civil service examination and for the competitive exams conducted by the uniform services of nation and state levels.

The fee for the BA course in GAC is 2,200 approximately for the 1st year.
