There is no problem  in upsee counselling in having character certificate of one year old.Main thing is that you should have domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable) and income certificate of this year.

Same was the case with me during HBTU-Counselling one year back.The character certificate is issued by the school at the time when the student leaves his/her school after completing in class 12th.

And if the student has taken a drop,so at the time of counselling you are need to submit an 'Year gap Affidavit' and all the cerificates such as 'character certi.','migration certi.' and many more which you have received from your school are to be submitted at the document verification.

So there will be no problem at all.

Just keep all the certificates required for counselling and keep atleast 2 photocopies of the important documents because after document verification the college demands some of the documents one more time.

Dear Aspirant

As per as I know In upsee there is condition that your character certificate should not be more than 6 month old. So i would suggest that you get a new character certificate made from your school, they will definitely ready to make it again for you if you share your problem and about upsee terms and conditions. You can also download format of character certificate from upsee brochure and get it signed by your school principle.

There will be no problem with such things. The character certificate like thinfs are issued the year when you pass out so it is quite odd to get a new one. They shouldn't even bother about that as it is obvious from your marksheet and all that you have passed last year not this. Just don't worry. Well if you have an option of getting it go ahead be safe, otherwise forget about it. I was a dropper too so, relax. You will be fine.
