First of all you need to see the eligible criteria for the ews category which is here as follows:-
1-Your family income should be less than 8L per annum.
2- You should not own more 1000 sq ft of flat
3- You should not own more than 5 acres of land.
Coming to your question, as such there is not a major benefit you will get in this category as we get to see in obc ,sc,st. But yes the cut off will be less than general category so your chances would increase in getting your preferred branch.
