NIOS is a valid and recognized board and there are many exams such as NEET which considers its candidates when it comes to eligibility criteria, so not just open university you can also pursue regular degree as long as you fulfill other norms such as aggregate or some colleges have restriction for degree courses,they specifically prescribed about age gap etc so while choosing a college you need to look into all these details,each has their own criteria.
