There are two ways to pursue career in the field of neurology. First one is by clearing NEET and then after completion of your MBBS you can go for MD or DNB in the Neurology.

The other way is by pursuing paramedical courses in Neurology like B.Sc. in Neuroscience. Neuroscience deals with the structure and function of the brain and nervous system; here you will see experimental physiology, neurochemisty and any science of the brain/nervous system.

Top colleges for Neuroscience are

  • Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc), Bangalore
  • Madras University offers an MSc in Neuroscience, Chennai
  • National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Haryana
  • Jiwaji University, Gwalior
  • IIT Gandhinagar
  • NIMHANS, Bangalore
  • Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai

The Average Starting Salary for Bsc neuroscience graduate in India is 2 lac to 6 lac per annum. The salary depends on the experience.
