Hello asha
Now you have to take part in josaa counseling whose registration will start after the jee advanced results tentatively in next 5-6 days .( Keep undated and check the main site for regular updates ).
After registration you have to fill your preference and choices of all the colleges available with you under josaa.
Than there will be mock allotment and you get familiar with it and you can change your preferences and it will be your final preference and choices.
After this allotment starts with first round and goes upto 7 th round . And if you alloted any seat in between than you have to go for verification within given time ( 1-2 days ) . All the information will be available soon at josaa site regarding this.
So keep checking the site .
Good luck

Hey asha,

According to your query, If you have given JEE mains then if you are qualified it then you have to give JEE advanced for getting seat in IITs. You can also get seat in NITs through JEE main marks or ranks in accordance of your merit rank and previous year cut-offs. Now further procedure is to participate in counselling either through state quota or all India quota. if your rank is good enough then prefer to go for counselling through all India quota to get better NITs or other reputed colleges. There are 4 rounds for counselling so if you find that your alloted seat is not satisfied for you then you can apply for further rounds. Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.

Hi Asha,
Hope you are doing well. After getting the results of JEE Mains and qualifying it with a good rank, you need to enter the options of you choice during JoSAA online counseling. There will be 7 rounds of counseling. If you don't get a seat in first round, you need to go for the second round and so on until last round. After you are selected for any branches in NIT's or IIIT's you have to go for the admissions and pay the fees and join the respective colleges. I hope you got the point after reading this answer.

All the best.
