Fortunately you took good decision while you are entering into diploma in choosing stream. Computer Science stream is one of the best stream in engineering to get more job opportunities in  graduation. Suppose you take Mechanical stream this stream people are not eligible to entering into some software companies and their core fields also. If you are interested to enter into mechanical stream in your graduation you better to do your graduation in NIIT's and IIT's. Yes it is better to make your graduation in Computer Science because many MNC's(Multi National Companies) like TCS,Wipro,HCL,Mphasis hire Computer Science Students in bulk.
