In recent years (like 2023 and 2024), top IITs like IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Hyderabad offered ECE under ranks ranging from 200 to around 1200 (EWS rank) through JEE Advanced. Specifically, IIT Guwahati’s ECE branch often closes between 600 to 900 EWS rank, while IIT Hyderabad’s ECE may go up to around 1100. However, older IITs like IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi don’t usually offer ECE separately, they have branches like Electrical Engineering, which are even more competitive.
