Polytechnic programs are provided by various institutes and colleges for admissions to 3 year diploma courses in various fields such as engineering, pharmacy, etc. After completing your diploma courses, you can get lateral entry admissions to bachelor's courses too. 

As for your question, the polytechnic exam that you will be able to give depends on the state that you belong to as you will have to give the polytechnic exam of that state. Below mntioned are the details about admission through UP Polytechnic.

Joint Entrance Examination Council (JEEC), Uttar Pradesh, will be conducting JEECUP 2019 (UP Polytechnic) on May 26, for admission to diploma courses offered by polytechnic institutes in the state.

JEEC, Uttar Pradesh has already released JEECUP 2019 application form. The last date to submit completed applications has been further extended up to March 31, 2019.
