Hello,

AO or agriculture officer is one of the most popular and demanded jobs in the agricultural sector.

Educational qualifications/eligibility: A bachelors ( four year full time undergraduate degree) degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Fishery sciences/ pisciculture/ Dairy sciences etc. The maximum age to apply is 40 years.

How to become an AO ? Well, you'll have to appear for an exam - IBPS SO if you want an entry level job.. The recruitment process for these posts are carried out by banks through the specialist officer common written examination, every year. There are two sets of exams- the prelims and the main exam.

The salary for an Agriculture Officer is 40,000-80,000 Per month, depending on many factors. And yes, you are eligible to become an AO after graduating from Acharya N.G Ranga agricultural university.

Thankyou.
