The Top 20 percentile is calculated by taking FIVE subjects into account-

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Any Language, like English
• Any other subject, like Electronics or CSC

Now, the total is calculated out of 500 marks which are obtained in the FIVE subjects that I mentioned above and a list of top 20 percentile is prepared by your respective board and sent to JoSSA.

Each board has a different cutoff for different categories.

Therefore, you need to specify your Board and your total in the FIVE subjects mentioned above, in the comments section and I will get back to you.
