an object is size 10cm is kept at a distance of 10cm from a convex lens if the focal length of the length is 5 cm the size of the image is ?
Answer (1)
Hi aspirant,
This question can be easily solved using the lens formula and magnification formula.
Hi-10 cm
U=(-10)cm
F= 5cm
Using lens formula 1/f= 1/v - 1/u
1/v= 1/5 +(-1/10)
v= 10 cm
Now, Magnification=v/u=hi/ho
= (-10/10) = hi/10
Hi= -1cm
Therefore the image formed is real, inverted and diminished.
