Hello, Phylum is a taxonomic classification under the hierarchy of Kingdom. There are 34 phylum identified till now. You will be studying about 10 major phylum in your academics. They are

• Porifera- animals with pores
• Cnidaria- animals with stinging cells
• Platyhelminthes- flatworms
• Annelida- animals having circular segments
• Mollusca-muscular animals with shells
• Arthropoda-segmented bodies with joint legs
• Chordata- animals with hollow nerve cord
• Nematoda-round and thread worms
• Echinodermata- animals with radial symmetry and calcified spines
• Hemichordata-Acorn worms
