Hello,

Here is how you can solve the given question

Consider 'x' is the speed of Rickshaw in km/hr and 'y' is the speed of bus km/hr

The total distance travelled by her is 14 kms so the distance covered by her in bus is= 14 - Distance covered by her in Rickshaw

We know that, Speed= Distance/Time ----(1)

In half an hour the distance travelled is 2 kms and the remaining distance by bus therefore, (2/x)+(12/y)=1/2 -----(2)

This is the first case. According to the second case she travels 4 kms by rickshaw and remaining distance by bus and it took 9 minutes longer so the total time taken by her is =(1/2)+(9/60)= 39/90 hours

Therefore, Total time taken=(4/x)+(10/y)=39/90 ----(3)

Solving (2) and (3) we get x=10 km/hr and y=40 km/hr

Therefore, the speed of Rickshaw is 10 km/hr.
