You don't need any english book for any engineering entrance exam....They are just about basic grammar & very easy.

SRM and JEE don't have English questions . For other CBSE textbooks shall suffice.

No, you don't need a book specialty for English, you can attempt all of question-based on your 12th board knowledge. try to practice more from previous year paper and sample paper to become familiar with the type of question asked.

I don't think that you require a book for preparation of English questions.You just need to read ncert books and some basic grammer and not more than that.After it you can solve previous years questions and mock tests to analyse yourself that what type of questions comes in the exams.
