As far as my knowledge is concerned I dont think there is any degree as of such needed for this job.

But I do think you need to have experience and knowledge regarding all the buttons and parts and stuff involved in those machinery items. which is not easy to learn if you have no prior information or idea about something like, its like making an arts student study biology

You need to have experience to work with good companies to reach heights in this field

Also I thinkyou should sincerely considering doing a technician course which will be of added advantage toyou
Be so good that no one can replace you
